Day out in Detroit

Happy spring break to all my teacher friends and students! My break is off to a great start. Last night, I met up with an old friend from camp in Ferndale for dinner and then created a masterpiece at Painting with a Twist:

I'm no artist, but I think it turned out well. 🎨

Today, my spouse and I spent a little time downtown. We took a free tour of the Fisher  Building in the New Center area. A group offers free tours of that building and the Guardian Building on weekends. It was definitely a worthwhile venture!

We followed our tour with a late lunch in Mexicantown at Darren's favorite restaurant (Lupitas Taqueria). Looking forward to hitting up the DIA on Wednesday this week!
